Jeanne Connolly, inspired by her Peace Corps experience, is a passionate designer with a focus on public service, community development, and cultural exchange. Her goal is to create meaningful designs that enhance people’s lives and well-being by connecting them to nature. Originally from Washington, DC, she draws inspiration from intricate planting designs like those at Dumbarton Oaks. Jeanne’s international community-based design projects in New Zealand and Germany ignited her interest in diverse cultures and service work.
She began her service journey as an AmeriCorps trail crew leader, working on backcountry projects across several states. Her Peace Corps service in Panamá deepened her commitment to community development and Latin culture. After the pandemic disrupted her plans, she returned to DC and worked as a designer on various projects. However, her attachment to her Panamanian community prompted her to relocate to Miami to blend design with her tropical surroundings and reconnect with Latin culture.
Outside of work, Jeanne is an avid trail runner and ultramarathon competitor. She also boasts over 20 years of ballet experience, both as a dancer and teacher. She remains dedicated to dance and running while pursuing her design aspirations.
